In the first quarter of 2025, Switzerland's top news and magazine applications on the Android platform showcased varied performance metrics, as reported by Sensor Tower.

NZZ from Neue Zürcher Zeitung AG experienced a notable peak in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $18K in the week of February 24. However, its weekly downloads saw a gradual decline from 493 at the start of the quarter to 121 by the end. The app maintained a relatively stable number of weekly active users, fluctuating between 16.6K and 19K.

Tages-Anzeiger - News by Tamedia had a consistent revenue increase, peaking at $9.1K in late February. Downloads surged in early March, hitting 827, while weekly active users showed a slight dip from 15.5K to 15K throughout the quarter.

X (Formerly Twitter) observed a significant spike in revenue to $6.3K during the last week of March. Downloads fluctuated, with a high of 3.6K in the first week of January, and active users peaked at 174.7K in late January before settling around 139K.

Le Monde, Live News saw its highest revenue at $3.9K in late February, while downloads remained stable, peaking at 76 in early March. Active users increased to 3.4K by mid-March before slightly declining.

Blick Nachrichten & Sport from RingierAG showed a gradual revenue drop, with a low of $1.8K in mid-February. Downloads remained relatively low throughout the quarter, while active users decreased from 51.7K to 34.9K.
